The Sales Associate plays a key role in delivering excellent customer service and driving sales
within the automotive spare parts retail store. This position involves assisting customers,
providing product information, processing transactions, and maintaining a positive shopping
experience.
Key responsibilities:
Customer Assistance:
· Greet and assist customers in a friendly and helpful manner.
· Provide product information, features, and benefits to help customers make informed
purchasing decisions.
· Assist customers in locating and selecting automotive spare parts.
Sales and upselling:
· Actively engage customers to understand their needs and preferences.
· Promote upselling and cross-selling of related products to maximize sales.
· Achieve and exceed individual and team sales targets.
Transaction processing:
· Process sales transactions accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
· Handle cash, credit card, and electronic payments.
· Issue receipts and ensure correct change is given.
Product knowledge:
· Knowledgeable about the features and specifications of automotive spare parts.
· Attend training sessions to enhance product knowledge.
· Assist customers in identifying the right parts for their vehicles.
Merchandize and stocking:
· Maintain a clean and organized sales floor.
· Monitor stock levels and restock shelves as needed.
· Participate in inventory counts and reconciliation.
Customer service and excellence:
· Address customer inquiries and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
· Handle customer returns and exchanges following company policies.
· Ensure a positive and memorable shopping experience.
Team Collaboration:
· Collaborate with other sales associates and store staff to achieve overall store goals.
· Communicate effectively with team members and share knowledge.
· Support team initiatives and contribute to a positive work environment.
Qualification and Skills:
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Previous experience in auto retail is necessary.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Basic math skills for handling transactions and providing change.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
· Enthusiastic and customer-focused attitude.
· Knowledge of automotive spare parts is a must
