Job Summary :
We are seeking a proficient Legal Manager with expertise in both Legal Metrology Compliance (LMC)
and legal case management. The successful candidate will oversee legal affairs, regulatory
compliance, handle legal cases, and ensure adherence to Legal Metrology requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Legal Affairs Management:
- Interpret and advise on legal matters affecting the organization.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal documents.
- Represent the organization in legal proceedings or coordinate with external legal counsel.
2. Legal Metrology Compliance (LMC):
- Monitor and ensure compliance with Legal Metrology regulations and standards.
- Liaise with relevant authorities and maintain updated knowledge of LMC requirements.
- Manage LMC filings, documentation, and renewals.
3. Legal Case Management:
- Handle legal cases related to the organization, including civil, criminal, and regulatory matters.
- Develop case strategies, conduct legal research, and prepare necessary legal documents.
- Coordinate with external counsel and represent the organization in legal proceedings.
4. Legal Compliance and Governance:
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures.
- Conduct legal audits to identify compliance gaps and recommend corrective actions.
5. Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
- Identify legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Provide risk assessment reports to Risk team for decision-making.
6. Stakeholder Communication:
- Collaborate with internal departments to provide legal guidance and support.
- Communicate legal requirements and updates to relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications and Skills:
- LLB degree and relevant legal qualifications.
- 2+ years of experience in legal practice, including handling legal cases and LMC responsibilities.
- Strong understanding of Legal Metrology laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in managing Legal Metrology Compliance and legal cases.
- Familiarity with industry-specific legal challenges and requirements.
